Our New Chairwoman of the Board is Lilia Kristianson26 June 2019

Since June My Dream Day has a new Chairwoman of the Board Lilia Kristianson. She has joined our foundation for at least two years to bring fresh ideas, energy and initiative.

Life is in constant change and so is our organization. Charity foundation My Dream Day was founded eight years ago, in the summer of 2011. Since then the board and foundation have been run by its Founders Marianne Bruhn and Helena Almqvist. Last year we came to an unanimous decision that it was time for a change. After searching for many months we found our new Chairwoman of the Board – Lilia Kristianson.

Former Chairwoman of the Board and Founder Helena Almqvist states:

“Since Marianne and I started My Dream Day in 2011, we have been humbled by the continuous commitment and hard work of our volunteers, staff and partners. It has been an amazing journey, beyond what we ever thought was possible. As our foundation continues to grow, it’s time for new ideas, energies and initiatives to thrive.  I am therefore very pleased about the decision to appoint Lilia Kristianson as our new Chairwoman of the Board. Lillia has a strong drive and background, an open and positive mindset, combined with a good network, the right values and heart in the right place. We wish her all the best! Marianne and I will still continue as Board Members and will always be cheering loud and close by as My Dream Day continues to thrive. Dreams do wonders!”

Lilia says: “I have always felt that, if there ever is a possibility to help and contribute to charity I definitely will. I believe that different opportunities and challenges come to us just at the right time. I was with my god-daughter Adele and her parents when I got the call to apply for My Dream Day's Chairwoman of the Board. A couple of years ago Adele and her parents had a wonderful dream day experience. I know the importance and the influence positive emotional support has for children, who often have to spend their days in the hospital and for parents facing their child’s illness every day. My Dream Day is a commendable and beautiful organization. I am truly happy to be part of this wonderful team and to channel my positive energy to something so important. Children have the sincerest dreams and nothing could be more wonderful than helping them come true.”

Lilia is a mother of two boys and works as an Interior Designer at KARM and KRISTIANSON. Chairwoman of the Board is not a paid position, but voluntary work. We wish Lilia good luck and all the success in her new position, so she can help us catch and fulfil the dreams of all the severely ill children.
